Why Islam is Violent - Islamic civilization is unstable and unsustainable
Islamic violence is nearly impossible to deny. But why is Islam violent? The usual answer is to point to Koranic verses calling for the conquest and subjugation of non-Muslims. That certainly covers the theological basis for Islamic violence. But it fails to explain why Muslims continue to practice it. Even against each other. Violence has become the defining form of Islamic exceptionalism.

Muslim Offers $10,000 To Anyone Who Can Show That Qur'an Promotes Terrorism
Dear Omar Alnatour:
Thank you so very much for offering “anyone $10,000 if they can find me a verse in the Quran that says it’s ok to kill innocent people or to commit acts of terror.” My 1999 Toyota is on its last legs, and your generous gift will enable me to replace it with a modest but fully operational used midsize sedan. Or maybe (since it has been years since I’ve had a break), if I can keep the jalopy going for awhile, I will use your ten grand take a vacation to Paris and Brussels -- before it’s too late, you know?

Palestinian wave of violence marked by increased female role
While battling Israel was once a role restricted to Palestinian men and boys, the current wave of violence has seen an unprecedented spike in female involvement. And where the few women who did engage in attacks in the past were typically underprivileged females seeking redemption after being rejected by their families, the attackers are now largely ideological, educated women from supportive homes.

Looting Sweeps Venezuela as Hunger Takes Over
It’s the law of the jungle in Venezuela, as shopping for groceries becomes an increasingly dangerous activity. As the shortage crisis worsens, more and more angry mobs are raiding the nation’s supermarkets, looting whatever basic goods they can find.
During the first half of 2015, the Venezuelan Observatory for Social Conflict (OVCS) registered no fewer than 132 incidents of looting or attempted looting at various stores throughout the country. In addition, Venezuelan consumers staged over 500 protests that condemned the lack of available products at state-run grocery stores, markets, and pharmacies.

Why Hasn’t Louis Farrakhan Been Arrested Yet?
It’s been nearly a week since Nation of Islam Leader Louis Farrakhan called on his followers to rise up and kill their perceived enemies, and the silence of the Obama Justice Department has been deafening. Likewise, the MSM has been shamefully quiet, too — as if this is acceptable behavior for the leader of a 50,000-strong denomination. It most certainly isn’t.
Farrakhan’s shocking words came during a July 30 speech at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Miami:
“The Koran teaches persecution is worse than slaughter. Then it says, retaliation is prescribed in matters of the slain. Retaliation is a prescription from God to calm the breaths of those whose children have been slain,” Farrakhan said.

Justice Department Studying ‘Far-Right’ Social Media Use
The Department of Justice is concentrating on “far-right” groups in a new study of social media usage aimed at combatting violent extremism. The Justice Department’s National Institute of Justice (NIJ) awarded Michigan State University $585,719 for the study, which was praised by Eric Holder, the former attorney general, earlier this year. “There is currently limited knowledge of the role of technology and computer mediated communications (CMCs), such as Facebook and Twitter, in the dissemination of messages that promote extremist agendas and radicalize individuals to violence,” according to the NIJ grant. “The proposed study will address this gap through a series of qualitative and quantitative analyses of posts from various forms of CMC used by members of both the far-right and Islamic extremist movements.”
The study draws more upon right-wing forums than upon the corners of the web inhabited by Islamist extremists.

Black on White Violence Is Accelerating in America
COURT HOUSE – Colin Flaherty is a noted journalist for 30 years, whose works have appeared in major newspapers including The New York Times, Washington Post and Los Angeles Times, and has been published in 1,000 sites around the world and received 50 journalism awards. Flaherty made an appearance Nov. 3 at Atlantic Cape Community College to speak about black-on-white violence, a topic, he stated, which does not receive much press. The subject makes editors uncomfortable, Flaherty said. Liberals, he said, cringe at the idea of black-on-white violence and police underreport it.

Correia: An Opinion on Gun Control
This post links to a long article, which is the best dismantling of the usual gun control arguments. The author's background makes him a vital source for information on guns, law (past and present), the Supreme Court rulings regarding the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution regarding arms. He maintains that gun rights are not for 'hunting' but rather for 'protection.' One of his recommendations is to take down all "Gun Free Zone" signs. Read more of Larry Correia's recommendations to help prevent future gun violence and massacres such as the recent Massachusetts school shooting. An Opinion on Gun Control.

Gunman dead after killing 20 children, 6 adults at Connecticut elementary school
A man killed his mother at home and then opened fire Friday inside a Connecticut elementary school, massacring 26 people, including 20 young children, as youngsters cowered in their classrooms and trembled helplessly to the sound of gunfire reverberating through the building. The shooter, who sources identified as Adam Lanza, 20, shot his mother, Nancy Lanza, in the face at their home in Newtown, Conn., then went to nearby Sandy Hook Elementary School where she taught and gunned down her entire class, bringing the death toll to 28, according to sources.
Lanza was found dead inside the school, according to officials. Eighteen of the children and six more adults were dead at the school and two more children died later, according to Connecticut State Police Lt. Paul Vance. Read more at Fox News...

The mixed up word police!
MoveOn.org is collecting signatures on an online petition. It reads:
- "I call for an end to all overt and implied appeals to violence in American politics. We must debate, not hate."
No more shootings, no more hate - In the wake of the mass shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and 19 others in Tucson, we must end the violent rhetoric that has exploded in American politics over the past two years. ∴ That's why we're calling on every member of Congress, as well as the major TV news networks, to put an end to overt and implied appeals to violence in our political debate.

Moving Mosque Could Ignite Violence
FOX NEWS, 9/9/2010 - On Wednesday (9/8/2010), Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the imam behind a proposed Islamic community center and mosque near ground zero, spoke to guest host Soledad O'Brien during a live broadcast of Larry King Live and cautioned that moving the facility could cause a violent backlash from Muslim extremists and endanger national security. ∴ Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf told CNN that the discourse surrounding the center has become so politicized that moving it could strengthen the ability of extremists abroad to recruit and wage attacks against Americans, including troops fighting in the Middle East. ∴ "The headlines in the Muslim world will be that Islam is under attack," he said, but he added that he was open to the idea of moving the planned location of the center, currently two blocks north of the World Trade Center site. ∴ "But if you don't do this right, anger will explode in the Muslim world," he later said, predicting that the reaction could be more furious than the eruption of violence following the 2005 publication of Danish cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad. ∴ Opponents say the center, which would include a Sept. 11 memorial and a Muslim prayer space, should be moved farther away from where Islamic extremists destroyed the World Trade Center and killed nearly 2,800 people. Supporters say religious freedom should be protected. Read more at Fox...

Big Labor's Legacy of Violence
TOWNHALL, Michelle Malkin - To mark Labor Day 2010, President Obama will join hands with AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka in Milwaukee and pose as champions of the working class. Bad move. Trumka's organizing record is a shameful reminder of the union movement's violent and corrupt foundations. ∴ The new Obama/AFL-CIO power alliance -- underwritten with $40 million in hard-earned worker dues -- is a midterm shotgun marriage of Beltway brass knuckles and Big Labor brawn. Trumka warmed up his rhetorical muscles this past week with full-frontal attacks on former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. He indignantly accused her of "getting close to calling for violence" and suggested that her criticism of Tea Party-bashing labor bosses amounted to "terrorizing" workers. Political Violence: Pelosi Tears Up
What is the Speaker talking about? KKK? Nazis? Radicals? SDS? The Weather Underground? Harvey Milk, Republican... murdered in San Francisco by a Democrat? Racism? Wasn't the violence of the 60's and 70's called for or perpetrated by Leftists? Is Ms. Pelosi talking about the Tea Parties and the Town Hall Meetings? If so, the rhetoric is nothing like that of the time period she speaks of. NOTHING LIKE IT! Read More......
