Blast in crowded Pakistan park kills at least 60

An explosion ripped through a crowded Pakistan park where Christians were celebrating Easter on Sunday, killing at least 60 people, officials told the Associated Press. About 300 people were injured when a bomb detonated in the parking area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in the eastern city of Lahore. A suicide bomber is suspected of being responsible for the blast, though authorities continue to investigate.

It’s time for votes of no-confidence. It’s time for the governments of Britain, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and more to fall. I’m not talking about violent revolution. There are mechanisms for the peaceful replacement of governments in most European nations at times when the existing government is seen widely to be inadequate for the task at hand. Arrested German jihadist: Islamic blitzkrieg coming

A detained German terrorist told authorities that Chancellor Angela Merkel can expect an Islamic blitzkrieg from returning fighters.


Lawyers for a disillusioned member of the Islamic State group say the man, known only as Harry S, wants to “come clean.” The 27-year-old from Bremen told Der Spiegel that he “saw it all” and wants to talk. He is the first terrorist to help intelligence officials piece together the fate of German-speaking jihadists Mohamed Mahmoud and Berlin rapper Denis Cusper, known as “Deso Dogg.”

Exceptional Measures Against Jihad-The real way to defeat the Jihadis.

As I listened to French president Francois Hollande over the weekend, I was struck by the familiarity of the ritual phrases he used to signal the French response to the well-orchestrated terror attacks that swept through my old neighborhood in Paris on Friday the 13^th  like a moveable feast of impotence and death.


“France will be merciless toward the Daesh  barbarians,” the president declaimed, referring to the Islamic State by its Arabic-language sobriquet. “France will act with all the legal means at its disposal.”

The leader of al-Qaeda linked group al-Nusra Front is encouraging jihadists in the Caucasus to attack Russia. His call follows similar condemnation of Russia from rival jihadi group the Islamic State (ISIS) and a number of Saudi clerics.
“If the Russian army kills the people of Syria, then kill their people. And if they kill our soldiers, then kill their soldiers. An eye for an eye,” declared Abu Mohamed al-Jolani.

Jindal’s Brilliant Take on Radical Islam

“Let’s be honest here. Islam has a problem.”  Those are key sentences in an incredibly hard-hitting speech that Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal will give in London on Monday. It is the toughest speech I have read on the whole issue of Islamic radicalism and its destructive, murdering, barbarous ways which are upsetting the entire world.  Early in the speech Jindal says he’s not going to be politically correct. And he uses the term “radical Islamists” without hesitation, placing much of the blame for the Paris murders and all radical Islamist terrorism on a refusal of Muslim leaders to denounce these acts.

The Fire Rages

In 2008, when the Canadian Islamic Congress attempted to criminalize my writing, we heard a lot of the usual hooey (courtesy of that eugenicist crackpot Oliver Wendell Holmes) that there was no right to shout fire in a crowded theatre. On the very last day of the trial in Vancouver, my old friend Julian Porter, QC summed up thus: Against the argument that you cannot cry fire in a crowded theatre: Oh yes you can — you must, if in your considered view there is a fire. In that case there is a duty to cry fire. The satirists of Charlie Hebdo thought there was a fire, and therefore considered they had a duty to cry fire. And they were right: There is a fire - in the expanding no-go areas of les banlieues, in the routine Jew-hate on the streets of Paris and Toulouse and other French cities, in the ranks of "mentally ill" "lone wolves" yelling "Allahu Akbar!" while mowing down pedestrians and stabbing policemen...
