Federally sponsored radio and TV programs coming soon to cable

Since 1948, American law has not allowed for government sponsored or funded propaganda programming. We should start seeing changes to that soon. As a result of new law reforms initiated earlier this year, the U.S. television audience will now have access to programs produced by the Broadcasting Board of Governors.

“The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) is an independent federal agency supervising all U.S. government-supported, civilian international media. The BBG’s mission is to inform, engage and connect people around the world in support of freedom and democracy.”

The Broadcasting Board of Governors was established by United States International Broadcasting Act of 1994. The board was established primarily to carry out the mandates of the Smith Mundt Act, passed in 1948,

Paul Harvey passed away today
