Houston Police Vow to Go After Anti-Gun Groups Calling 911 on Open Carriers in Texas

Texas will soon join the other 45 US states that allow open carry and anti-gun groups are not happy about it.    At least one anti-gun group is attempting to make life miserable for all gun owners who choose to openly and legally carry their firearms by calling 911 and making false claims.    The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV) is using social media to urge people to call 911 any time they see someone openly carrying a firearm.

Texas Governor Defends Religious Liberties…And It’s HARDCORE!

Today marks what could be considered one of the most controversial days in the history of the United States of America. If you haven’t heard, the Supreme Court has decided that same-sex marriage is now a Constitutional right and that traditional marriage between one man and one woman is no longer the definition of marriage.
There is one state (and if you have read my articles before, you know which one I’m talking about) that is already leading the way, in essence combating SCOTUS and their disastrous decision. Of course, I’m talking about the Lone Star State.

Starting Wednesday, however, the U.S. government will stop allowing anyone to hunt the dama gazelle or two other exotic antelopes native to Africa, the addax and the scimitar-horned oryx — unless ranchers obtain a permit.

RNC protester sentenced to 2 years on bomb charge (MN)

Star Tribune via Free Republic, 5/14/09 - (AP) A protester from Texas has been sentenced to two years in prison for possessing Molotov cocktails during the Republican National Convention last September. ∴ U.S. District Judge Michael Davis on Thursday also sentenced Bradley Neal Crowder to three years of supervised release. ∴ The 23-year-old Austin, Texas, man was part of a group from Austin that allegedly planned to disrupt the convention in St. Paul last September. Congressman John Carter introduces "Rangel Rule"

Rep. John Carter, a Texas Republican, sent out a press release earlier today about his innovative new bill:

“Rangel Rule”
All U.S. taxpayers would enjoy the same immunity from IRS penalties and interest as House Ways and Means Chairman Charles Rangel (D-NY) and Obama Administration Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, if a bill introduced today by Congressman John Carter (R-TX) becomes law.

Carter, a former longtime Texas judge, today introduced the Rangel Rule Act of 2009, HR 735, which would prohibit the Internal Revenue Service from charging penalties and interest on back taxes against U.S. citizens. Under the proposed law, any taxpayer who wrote “Rangel Rule” on their return when paying back taxes would be immune from penalties and interest.
