Utah prosecutor wants grand jury probe of Harry Reid, Mike Lee, feds, others
It reads like a cast of characters for a detective film noir: powerful politicians, shady businessmen, high-ranking law officers and an idealistic, persistent prosecutor. The plot includes allegations of corruption, cover-ups and the naked exercise of power.

Harry Reid Justifies Lying About Romney’s Taxes from Senate Floor: ‘He Didn’t Win, Did He?’
Harry Reid said he has no regrets for polarizing the Senate, attacking the Koch brothers, and falsely accusing Mitt Romney of not paying taxes. Republicans have criticized Reid, who recently announced that he would not seek re-election in 2016, for hostile tactics that soured the environment on Capitol Hill. The Senate minority leader dismissed claims that he is the problem with Washington and said he his proud of taking on the Koch brothers when no one else would.

HARRY REID'S SON REPRESENTING CHINESE SOLAR PANEL PLANT IN $5 BILLION NEVADA DEAL
The son of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), Rory Reid, is the primary representative for ENN Energy Group, a Chinese energy company seeking to build a $5 billion solar panel plant on a 9,000-acre Clark County desert plot in Laughlin, Nevada. ENN scored big when Clark County commissioners unanimously voted to sell the Chinese company the public land for just $4.5 million, despite the fact that it was appraised at $38.6 million.

Be Afraid: The Democratic plan to take back the House
On Election Night 2010, I watched the returns come in alongside a prominent
liberal columnist. As he observed the Republicans capture the House of
Representatives and gain in the Senate, in governor’s mansions, and in state
houses across the country, my friend put the best spin on events that he could.
“Well,” I remember him saying, “the Obama electorate just didn’t show up.”
How right he was. The voters who went to the polls in 2010 were older and
whiter than the voters in 2008. Whites made up 77 percent of the electorate in
2010. And the Republican share of that vote was 60 percent, translating into the
best year for the GOP since 1948.
Fast-forward two years. The Romney campaign and many conservatives, including
me, assumed the 2012 electorate would more closely resemble 2010 than 2008. We
were wrong.

Harry Reid, Jon Corzine and other cronies that got away in 2012
When businesses and big government politicians go into “business” with one another, taxpayers lose—big time. It's called cronyism.
A "crony" is an individual or organization that colludes with politicians to gain unfair treatment, taxpyer-funded benefits, or regulations that the rest of us don't enjoy. Cronyism occurs because politicians rely on wealthy interests to fund their campaigns, and those donors then seek government goodies or favors in return.
It’s a match made in heaven for cronies and hell for taxpayers. Just as bad, such cronyism erodes economic freedom by destroying the real competition that fuels free market capitalism.

Rove: The Real Price of the Senate Health Bill
WSJ/OPINION JOURNAL, 12/23/2009 by Karl Rove - Pushing health-care reform through the Senate will hurt Democrats. ∴ By now Majority Leader Harry Reid's explanation for how he is getting his health-care bill through the Senate has pinged its way across the country. "I don't know if there is a senator that doesn't have something in this bill that was important to them," he said this week. "And if they don't have something in it important to them, then it doesn't speak well of them." But take these comments two steps further and it becomes clear that how Mr. Reid reached unanimity in his caucus could hurt Democrats more than they realize. Rove attaches names to amounts in this barrel of backroom deals. Read more...

Harry Reid's 'slavery' comment: Revisionist history, straight up!
December 7, 2009: "Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has got the GOP up in arms with these controversial comments on health reform. He says the GOP's opposition to passing the bill is comparable to those in the past who opposed an end to slavery and women's suffrage." --DailyBeastVideo

Hey, Harry! The supporters of slavery were DEMOCRATS (12/7/2009 by Michael Zak)
Today, Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) said that people who oppose socialized medicine are comparable to those opposed freeing the slaves. Another outrageous lie from the Democrats!
Just as outrageous is that, by ignoring their party's heritage, the Republican Party has allowed Democrats and their lefty media allies to mislead millions of Americans about the true history of the Grand Old Party.
Every Republican, and I mean every Republican, should know that it was the Republican Party that freed the slaves and that it was the Democrats who wanted to keep African-Americans in chains. Democrats denounced President Abraham Lincoln (R-IL) for his Emancipation Proclamation, and congressional Democrats voted unanimously against the 13th Amendment to abolish slavery. In fact, so long as the GOP appreciated its heritage, the Democrats was known as the Slaveocrat Party.
To quote my own book: "The more we Republicans know about the history of our party, the more the Democrats will worry about the future of theirs."
Michael Zak is a popular speaker to Republican organizations around the nation, showing office-holders and candidates and activists how they would benefit tremendously from appreciating the heritage of our Grand Old Party. Back to Basics for the Republican Party is his acclaimed history of the GOP cited by Clarence Thomas in a Supreme Court decision. His Grand Old Partisan blog celebrates more than fifteen decades of Republican heroes and heroics. See www.RepublicanBasics.com for more information. Read More......
