Chamber’s Donohue ‘Doubling Down’ for 2016

Thomas Donohue, president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, pledged Friday to “double down” on Capitol Hill and on the campaign trail against the ultra-conservative forces that threaten the business community’s agenda. Those forces, which have helped buoy outsider presidential candidates such as Donald Trump, represent “an articulation of frustration” from the American people, Donohue said. Hard-line conservatives also helped wrest the gavel from chamber ally Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio.

Homeland Security Working Overtime to Add ‘New Americans’ by 2016 Election

Sources at the Department of Homeland Security report to PJ Media that the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services is reallocating significant resources to sending letters to all 9,000,000 green card holders urging them to naturalize prior to the 2016 election.
President Obama’s amnesty by edict has always been about adding new Democrats to the voter rolls, and recent action by the Department of Homeland Security provides further proof. Sources at the Department of Homeland Security report to PJ Media that the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services is reallocating significant resources away from a computer system — the “Electronic Immigration System” — to sending letters to all 9,000,000 green card holders urging them to naturalize prior to the 2016 election.

Ted Cruz: Loose Cannon or Libertarian Reformer?

As they used to say in the old westerns, it was quiet out there-too quiet. So no one was really surprised when Ted Cruz announced to The Washington Post the weekend before the November election that his brief flirtation with civilized behavior was nearing its end.  For months, the Texas senator had abandoned his "the guy with dynamite strapped to his chest" persona, as one Republican political strategist describes it, to be a team player, crisscrossing the country to campaign for GOP candidates. No filibusters on the Senate floor to hold the federal budget hostage to the repeal of Obamacare; no fundraising letters on behalf of Tea Party insurgents seeking to knock off what Cruz likes to call "squishy" Republican incumbents.

Wisc. Governor Walker Hints He's Running For POTUS

As a guest on the Hugh Hewitt Show Tuesday evening, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker strongly suggested that he will be a candidate for president in 2016, "I feel that there’s a reason God put me in a spot to do the things that we’ve done and take on the kind of challenges we’ve done."  Governor Walker is considered by some a strong candidate for the Republican presidential nomination. He is a Midwestern governor in a blue state who has taken on the unions and thanks to a recall election has won three elections in four years, so it was logical for Hewitt to ask Walker his intentions:

Politico: Dr. Ben Carson documentary adds 2016 hype

Conservative darling Dr. Ben Carson is set to air a documentary introducing himself to America, spurring further speculation he’ll run for president in 2016. The 40-minute-long paid spot will run in 22 states this weekend and is entitled “A Breath of Fresh Air: A New Prescription for America,” ABC News reported on Thursday. Carson, a Fox News regular and longtime pediatric neurosurgeon who gained fame in the political sphere for stridently criticizing Obamacare, has not announced a bid for the White House. But he hasn’t ruled it out either, and there’s been a grass-roots movement to recruit him for 2016. Read more at Politico Read More......

Light at the End of the Tunnel

Conservatives need to wake up and start thinking past the rapidly passing age of Obama. Increasingly likely every day is that voters this November will remove Harry Reid as Senate Majority Leader. By electing a new Republican Senate majority, the voters will also render Barack Obama a lame duck, one of the lamest in history, as he will have no prayer of getting any of his legislative proposals — increasingly recognized as hard left — through Congress. (Despite his early national rhetoric, Obama doesn’t do bipartisanship.)

Scott Walker, Wisconsin’s action governor

In 2011, thousands of government employees and others, enraged by Gov. Scott Walker’s determination to break the ruinously expensive and paralyzing grip that government workers’ unions had on Wisconsin, took over the capitol building in Madison. With chanting, screaming and singing supplemented by bullhorns, bagpipes and drum circles, their cacophony shook the building that the squalor of their occupation made malodorous. They spat on Republican legislators and urinated on Walker’s office door. They shouted, “This is what democracy looks like!
