Chamber’s Donohue ‘Doubling Down’ for 2016

Thomas Donohue, president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, pledged Friday to “double down” on Capitol Hill and on the campaign trail against the ultra-conservative forces that threaten the business community’s agenda. Those forces, which have helped buoy outsider presidential candidates such as Donald Trump, represent “an articulation of frustration” from the American people, Donohue said. Hard-line conservatives also helped wrest the gavel from chamber ally Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio.

American Free Enterprise. Dream Big: The Race

The Race is a national advertising campaign that began appearing October 14th on TV, online and in print. This ad is a project of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, President Obama's new boogie man. Whose vision for America do you support? The U.S. Chamber's, who looks to Americans, their hard work and innovation to to keep America strong and bring back jobs or Obama's vision that government must radically transform America? Visit American Free Enterprise.
We are American Free Enterprise. Dream Big. We know that, as a nation, we face major policy challenges—none greater or more important than creating the 20 million jobs needed in the next decade to replace the jobs lost in the current recession and to meet the needs of Americas growing workforce. ∴ We know that only American free enterprise is capable of meeting this challenge and creating the innovation and opportunities of Americas future.

Although Americans have become increasingly concerned about the economy, their faith in the free enterprise system remains strong, according to a survey by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. While government efforts to stimulate the economy are considered useful in the short term, we as Americans believe that its the free enterprise system that will grow our economy and create jobs over the long term.

We believe in the essential role that free enterprise plays in strengthening our economy and in the many ways in which we as individuals benefit from the American free enterprise system.

Please join us in preserving and advancing the American free enterprise system and help ensure that every American has the opportunity to make an entrepreneurial idea become reality — to help ensure that we all have the opportunity to dream big.
