Democrats on Wednesday decried a spike in threats made to lawmakers who voted for the healthcare legislation and accused Republicans of fomenting violent behavior. [...] “This is now the face of the Republican Party; they have not taken responsibility,” said Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), the assistant to the Speaker, during an appearance on MSNBC. “They have, in fact, joined in this kind of activity. There is no denying the fact that they are stoking the flames here.” Read more fomenting and stoking at The Hill...

This chart, which appeared on the SarahPAC website and was linked to in a Facebook op-ed by Sarah Palin, 'targets' twenty House Democrats from districts that voted for John McCain in the 2008 presidential election. These Democrats ran as moderates, yet they voted for Obamacare. Of course, the point of the targeting is to vote them out in 2010 but the Left intimates that the points on the map are a call to violence in that the points look like the cross-hairs of a gun. Therefore, progressives tie Sarah Palin, a Republican, to advocating violence. This extends to conservatives and the Tea Party movement as well, since Palin has become a popular figure withing the ranks of tea partiers, who are primarily fiscal conservatives.
Moreover, the mainstream media has consistently linked Tea Party participants to right-wing radicalism, racism and a form of vigilantism. This is laughable, especially if the demeanor of the tea party attendees is held up to the radicals of the left and their real penchant for violence in their displays of civil disobedience, including threatening behavior and destruction of property. Remember President Obama's angry rhetoric regarding the Wall Street 'fat cats' and those who received multi-million dollar bonuses? His vitriol incited his followers to surround the homes of CEO's and bonus recipients, thus terrorizing them and their families.
Again, conservatives won't own the influx of violent 'threats' and actions, until the lefties can deliver proof. They can't. --bc
