The Guardian equates Suicide to Self Defense in SHOT Show Coverage

The left loves to use false comparisons of unrelated numbers to make bad arguments.  In a recent article about the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT)  Show in the Guardian, a far-left British newspaper, the reporters start with an off the cuff remark from an economics professor.  From the guardian.com: "People are buying guns as part of the American dream of freedom and liberty," said Brauer, who is based at the Hull College of Business at Augusta University. "And also, the hope and the dream of being able to use guns in self-defence."

Counter-Terrorism Advice from Someone Who Knows What He's Talking About

Seemingly overnight, the general population have become experts in the field of domestic counter-terrorism.  Facebook, blogs, and comments sections of news articles are rife with people who think they know how to solve the problem.  These plans range from full-scale gun control, with the thought that if people don't have guns, terrorism won't happen, to an "every man for himself" anarchist approach.

America’s Provocateurs Are at the Mercy of the Barbarians

To the foreign or uninitiated visitor, it must appear somewhat peculiar that the most prominent, recognizable, and provocative public figures in all of these United States spend the majority of their time in cities that are indifferent toward their security. Taken together, Washington, D.C., New York City, and Los Angeles host almost all of the more controversial media personalities in America; and, taken together, these cities have some of the worst self-defense laws in the country. Had Charlie Hebdo been an American publication, it would most likely have been located in Brooklyn or in Silver Lake or in Columbia Heights — positioned, in other words, in precisely the sort of place in which attacks on its employees would have been most likely to succeed. This, as the French might say, is “absurde.”

When Kids and Guns Mix

We all know what can happen when kids and guns mix. And today I will tell you some stories about that very thing. The kids' names were Kendra and Alyssa, and then there was the 11-year-old boy whose name we just don't know. What we do know is that they lived in places called Bryan County, Albuquerque, and Palmview. We know that guns were in their homes -- and that something horrible befell them.

Last year, 12-year-old Oklahoman Kendra St. Clair was home alone, unsupervised. At some point she accessed her mother's handgun -- a .40-caliber Glock. Then Kendra pulled the trigger.

And that bullet tore into flesh.
