Illegal migrants shouting 'Allahu Akbar' attack soldiers patrolling Rome Basilica for Jubilee

Italian police arrested two illegal migrants, who attacked soldiers on patrol outside a historic Rome Basilica as part of security arrangements for jubilee celebrations. The assailants shouted Islamic slogans and attempted to snatch the officers' weapons but were instead subdued, authorities said.

First on CNN: New U.S. intel bulletin provides details of Paris attack plans

The Paris terrorist attackers conducted prior surveillance of at least some of the locations they attacked and showed signs of tactical planning and military-style training, a new U.S. intelligence bulletin says. The bulletin issued by the FBI, Homeland Security department and the National Counterterrorism Center warns U.S. law enforcement to review training to deal with active shooters, according to U.S. officials.

Doctors Without Borders Ignored Geneva Rules Before U.S. Air Attack

Doctors Without Borders flew no internationally-recognized medical insignia on the rooftop of its Kunduz, Afghanistan, hospital that was mistakenly attacked October 3 by U.S. military aircraft, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation. The relief group – also known as Medecins Sans Frontiers – failed to display a Red Cross, Red Crescent or Red Lion and Sun, the universally recognized medical emblems since 1949 that identify buildings that must be protected to attacking aircraft during wartime under Article 38 of the Geneva Accords.

Christian preachers on Oregon sidewalk attacked by man with 'police protection'

Christians preaching the Gospel outside a Planned Parenthood clinic in Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday were doused with scouring powder by a man who apparently had police protection since a police officer on duty just stood by and did not stop, much less arrest him.
The Portland Police Department later said it would not press charges against the assailant as the incident was deemed "a private criminal complaint."

Revealed: inside story of US envoy's assassination

The killings of the US ambassador to Libya and three of his staff were likely to have been the result of a serious and continuing security breach, The Independent can reveal.

American officials believe the attack was planned, but Chris Stevens had been back in the country only a short while and the details of his visit to Benghazi, where he and his staff died, were meant to be confidential.

The US administration is now facing a crisis in Libya. Sensitive documents have gone missing from the consulate in Benghazi and the supposedly secret location of the "safe house" in the city, where the staff had retreated, came under sustained mortar attack. Other such refuges across the country are no longer deemed "safe".
