Wayne Brady Passes
ORP Team:
It is my sad duty to report that Wayne Brady, former Marion County Republican Central Committee Chair and Delegate to the 2008 National Convention from the 5th CD has passed away after a long and difficult illness. I have confirmed Wayne’s passing with our Current Marion County Chair Jan Williamson. Wayne died early this morning [Tuesday, March 13, 2012] of complications of liver cancer in a Salem Hospital. We are awaiting announcement for notification of Wayne’s family. Burial and memorial arrangements are pending. I will coordinate an announcement with Marion County Republican Chair Jan Williamson.
I had the honor of going to the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minneapolis with Wayne, as a fellow 5th CD Delegate. He was a patriot and a true conservative who always said “Conservatism wins”. After passing the gavel to Jan Williamson in 2010 Wayne became instrumental in the Capitol War Room working with AFP and ORP volunteers. Wayne will be missed. We will miss Wayne’s strong voice, keen judgment and ready smile.
Please join me in praying for Wayne Brady and his family.

Marion County GOP issues press release opposing SB 742 & SB 845
Marion County Republican Central Committee
March 18, 2011
Press Release:
The Marion County Republican Central Committee (MCRCC) recognizing the detrimental effects of illegal immigration on the United States, particularly here in Oregon, voted unanimously on March 17th to oppose two pieces of legislation before the 2011 Oregon State Legislature, SB 742 and SB 845, that would legitimize the presence of illegal aliens in our state. ∴ – SB 742 would grant instate tuition to the progeny of undocumented foreign nationals illegally present in the U.S. (undocumented international students) to attend Oregon’s public four year universities. ∴ – SB 845 would allow issuance of Oregon drivers licenses to undocumented foreign nationals illegally present in the U.S. living in the state. ∴ The MCRCC urges Oregon State legislators representing any portion of Marion County to oppose both SB 742 and SB 845.
Janice Williamson, Chairwoman MCRCC,
Andrea Hoffman, Vice-Chairwoman MCRCC.
