Five Ways We Know Al Gore's Been Running A Global Warming Racket

Ten years ago Monday, Al Gore said we had only a decade left to save the planet from global warming. But Earth has been doing just fine. Why do we listen to this man?      While preening at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2006 during the premiere of his "An Inconvenient Truth" fib-umentary, Gore made his grand declaration.

Al Gore Compares Climate Change to Civil Rights Fight

Former Vice President Al Gore is comparing the struggle to win over climate change skeptics to the fight against racism. ✧ When racist comments would come up in the course of conversations, “There came a time when people said, 'Hey man, why do you talk that way? That's wrong, I don't go for that, so don't talk that way around me. I just don't believe that,'” Gore said in an interview Friday with FearLess Revolution founder Alex Bogusky. ✧ "That happened in millions of conversations, and slowly the conversation was won,” Gore said. “And we still have racism, God knows, but it's so different now and so much better. And we have to win the conversation on climate.” Read more at Fox News...

AT: Al Gore's Poison

AMERICAN THINKER, 9/2/2010 by Brian Sussman - Wednesday, a gun wielding, bomb toting, eco-terrorist-who claimed to have been "awakened" by Al Gore's Oscar winning film, An Inconvenient Truth-was shot and killed by police after holding several people hostage inside the Discovery Channel headquarters in Maryland. ∴ Sadly, it's not the first incident of someone going berserk after taking in Gore's work. Gore tied to Truman... No, not that Truman

CONSERVATIVE CAMP, 3/5/2010 by Robert Ditmar - Mr. Ditmar ties former Vice President Al Gore to The Truman Show in a semi-spoof piece entitled The Gore-man Show:
"In the movie, The Truman Show, Jim Carrey portrays fictional character Truman Burbank, who has been living in an artificial world as the main star of a television reality soap opera called The Truman Show, airing 24 hours, 7 days a week. Unbeknown-st to Truman, everything around him, including his family, friends, wife, job, house, buildings and world are nothing more than facades, in which thousands of tiny, hidden cameras record his every move. Even the land, ocean and weather cycles in which he goes about his life are completely false, controlled by a maniacal director by the name of Christof in a control room hidden in “the sky” of a gigantic dome in which Truman’s world resides..."

[...] "In many ways, Al Gore and his colleagues of the “man-made climate change” community have engineered a scam of a show much like Christof did to Truman. Originally coined “man-made global-warming,” Gore and his friends at the Climate Change Unit at the University of East Anglia have been creating a completely false world based on fraudulent data..." Read more at Conservative Camp...
I might not have posted and linked to this piece except for the Alinsky tactics used against anyone who questioned that the "science was settled" regarding global warming/climate change, the draconian fixes and proposed legislation, without true debate. Republicans do not oppose clean water, air, the health of the planet and honest scientific inquiry. Conservation is a hallmark of the Republican Party and conservatives in general. -bc Read More......

AFP Members: What are you going to do about this?

11/20/2009 (Via email/Hat tip: Linda Weimer, Benton County AFP Chair) - If you saw the editorial page of the Oregonian today, you saw a piece on Al Gore's visit to Oregon. In the piece, the Oregonian directly attacks AFP as a so-called "Astroturf" organization, one that does not have any real grassroots members and is controlled by big energy big-money in Washington, D.C. ∴ The editorial repeated Al Gore's claim that, "They sent a professional, so-called 'astroturf' organizer from Washington, D.C., to come out here to Portland," Gore said Wednesday. "This group is financed by the single largest private energy interest in the United States, Koch Industries." The editorial continued, "As The Oregonian's Matthew Preusch reported, the group behind the anti-Gore rallying is Americans for Prosperity, which claims to have 700,000 members in 50 states." The entire editorial can be read HERE. And, please...

ARE YOU ASTROTURF LIKE AL GORE AND NANCY PELOSI SAY YOU ARE???

According to the Oregonian and Al Gore, neither you or the members who attend your meetings exist. The Oregonian also doesn't seem to know that all of the money AFP-Oregon spends in Oregon is raised from Oregon - they seem to believe a bunch of oil companies from D.C. fund our operations. Apparently, they also believe it is a crime that David Koch, one of AFP's founders, has interests in the energy industry. These people are out to marginalize not just AFP, but you and your chapter members.

If any of this offends you, you can do something about it. Write a Letter to the Editor telling the Oregonian who you are as an AFP member - that you are not "Astroturf." Let them know that the AFP office in Washington, D.C. doesn't pull your strings and doesn't give you money.

Writing such a Letter to the Editor is very easy...The Oregonian provides guidelines for writing Letters to the Editor, along with the email link to actually submit one, at this web page:

http://www.oregonlive.com/opinion/index.ssf/2008/04/letters_to_the_editor_policy.html

To further help you, you will find a PDF file containing the AFP University unit on "Writing Effective Letters to the Editor." Let's hit the Oregonian hard and show them that you, real grassroots volunteers, really exist in Oregon!

Good Luck
