ISIS “hack”? A Defector identifies 22,000 fighters

Consider this a low-tech hack, and Abu Hamed the ISIS analog of Chelsea Manning. Hamed, a jihadist disillusioned by what he asserts was a Ba’athist takeover of al-Qaeda in Iraq, left the group while taking a souvenir along the way — a memory stick that could undermine the entire ISIS network. Hamed provided documentation that identifies over 22,000 fighters in ISIS to Sky News, information that Western governments will find very useful indeed, if authentic:

Emails show intel analysts were told to 'cut it out' and 'toe the line' on ISIS reports

The scandal involving about 50 intelligence analysts for U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) who were pressured to downplay the effectiveness of the Islamic State while it was a growing threat is at critical mass. The Pentagon's inspector general has in his possession emails and other documents that prove there was pressure to doctor the analyses of the Islamic State in order to minimize the threat and talk up the White House "narrative" that the military was doing a good job in degrading the abilities of the terrorist group.

First on CNN: New U.S. intel bulletin provides details of Paris attack plans

The Paris terrorist attackers conducted prior surveillance of at least some of the locations they attacked and showed signs of tactical planning and military-style training, a new U.S. intelligence bulletin says. The bulletin issued by the FBI, Homeland Security department and the National Counterterrorism Center warns U.S. law enforcement to review training to deal with active shooters, according to U.S. officials.

Iraqi PM to share anti-ISIS intel with Russia

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al Abadi announced on Saturday that Iraq will share anti-ISIS intelligence with Russia, Iran and Syria if cooperation is requested.
“We have been fighting ISIS more than a year and we have some important security information that no other country has regarding ISIS,” Abadi stated during a press conference which took place at the presidential office in the capital.
