Double dealing: Iran violating nuclear sanctions even as talks drag on

While U.S.-led world powers hold talks with Iran in Vienna to curb Tehran’s illicit nuclear weapons program, the Islamic Republic’s spies have been seeking atomic and missile technology in neighboring Germany as recently as last month, according to German intelligence sources.
Iran’s illegal activities have continued since talks between Iran and the P5+1 - the five permanent members of the UN Security Council as well as rotating member Germany - began with a Joint Plan of Action in 2013, according to German intelligence sources. The JPOA was intended to stop Iran’s work on a nuclear weapon until a comprehensive agreement is reached.

Malkin: The Inevitability of Obamacare for Illegal Aliens

You knew it was coming. I knew it was coming. When government expands entitlements, illegal aliens always end up with a piece of the pie. Obamacare promoters relented to GOP pressure to include an illegal alien ban on eligibility and vowed endlessly that no benefits would go to the "undocumented." But denial isn't just a river in Egypt. It's the Obama way. ✧ In Oregon this week, officials confessed that nearly 4,000 illegal immigrants had been "accidentally" steered from the state's low-income Medicaid program and instead were enrolled in Obamacare in violation of the law. Oopsie. The Oregonian newspaper's Nick Budnick reported that the health bureaucrats "discovered the problem several weeks ago and are correcting it." Get in line. The beleaguered Cover Oregon health insurance exchange has been riddled with ongoing problems, errors and glitches since last October that have yet to be fixed.

Oregon GOP files ethics complaint against Kitzhaber, Courtney

OREGONLIVE.COM, 6/21/2010 by Michelle Cole, The Oregonian - The Oregon Republican Party filed an ethics complaint Monday [last week] against Democratic gubernatorial candidate John Kitzhaber and Oregon Senate Democratic leaders over a $1,500-a-ticket campaign fundraiser. ∴ The June 29 event at Portland's Arlington Club is billed as a "private luncheon to discuss potential (legislative) session issues." The names on the invitation include Kitzhaber, Senate President Peter Courtney, D-Salem; Senate Majority Leader Richard Devlin, D-Tualatin; Rep. Peter Buckley, D-Ashland and budget committee co-chair, and Sen. Betsy Johnson, D-Scappoose. ∴ No more than 15 guests will be allowed to attend the two-hour power lunch. In their complaint filed with the Oregon Ethics Commission Monday, Republicans claim Democrats are offering lobbyists a "quid pro quo." ∴ "This goes well beyond normal political campaign requests in that this makes a link between the contribution and consideration of legislation and the "session issues" and is therefore illegal...," the complaint says. ∴ Molly Woon, spokeswoman for the Senate Democratic Leadership Fund, declined to comment Monday. ∴ The Kitzhaber campaign did not return calls made late in the day. But last week Kitzhaber's campaign manager, Derek Humphrey, said his boss had nothing to do with putting the invitation together. Read More......
