Nigel Farage on target to win: Poll puts him NINE points ahead of Tory rival

NIGEL FARAGE'S hopes of becoming an MP have been given a massive boost with an opinion poll showing the Ukip leader has a commanding nine-point lead in South Thanet.

Muslims Get UK To Ban Bomb Sniffing Dogs Because It Offends Them

In the Muslim faith, dogs are deemed to be spiritually ‘unclean’. So naturally, muslims are wanting to ban dogs from being a part of airport security, even though doing so would severely restrict their ability to do their job.  This report was brought by the Transport Department and claimed that it would be more acceptable if the dogs would not touch the passengers’ luggage.  The report also said that the use of full body scans are inappropriate and just an alternative to having people strip searched.

Children no longer need facts because they can look them up on smartphone, claim teachers

Children should no longer be expected to learn facts in the classroom because they can rely on smartphones as a “substantial” knowledge bank, it was claimed today.

Teachers said lessons should put a greater emphasis on broad skills such as independent research, interpreting evidence and critical thinking rather than learning dates, facts and figures by rote.

Backlash goes viral over 10:10 eco film "No Pressure"

(First seen at The Belmont Club: The Green and the Red) The mini-movie,"No Pressure" produced for the 10:10 carbon cutting campaign in the UK, was released a few days ago. Drew Kahn of WorldNet Daily describes it as an enviro-snuff film. He says, "...children and coworkers who don't subscribe to the organization's plan to cut carbon emissions are subjected to the fiercest form of peer pressure: death by bombing." Environmental activist, Frannie Armstrong, responsible for the film produced by comic screenwriter Richard Curtis, thought it was funny, as did the cast and close associates who reviewed it before its release. The film was pulled from the 10:10 site (but not elsewhere) with this apology when notables in the AGW camp protested. The film definitely imparts a gruesomely bloody totalitarian message with authority figures (teacher, boss and coach) pressing the 'red button' without reservation. In other words, skeptics beware! Conservative bloggers wonder if Richard Curtis turned the table on Armstrong & company.
