NYT Coverage of Obamacare System Fiasco Blames Republicans, Cites Key March Warning It Originally Failed to Report
Three New York Times reporters' coverage of HealthCare.gov's systemic failures is inadvertently funny. Its opening paragraph quotes Henry Chao, described as "the chief digital architect for the Obama administration’s new online insurance marketplace," as "deeply worried about the web site's debut" way back in March, and hoping that "it’s not a third-world experience." The Third World, many of whose developers have shown that they can design functional interactive web sites, should feel insulted.
The inadvertent humor comes from the fact that Chao's statement received quite a bit of coverage at center-right outlets and blogs (e.g., Washington Examiner, Forbes, Hot Air, PJ Tatler, Townhall, American Thinker, Gateway Pundit, and many others) when he originally made it in March, and was widely known in the industry. But, as seen in a date-sorted Times search on Chao's name, the Old Gray Lady originally didn't consider it fit to print. Read more at News Busters... Read More......

Bombers' Mosque In Boston A Factory For Terrorists
Homeland Insecurity: The New York Times thinks the Boston bombers
"self-radicalized" on the Web. But it didn't look at their mosque, which has
churned out other terrorists, too.
USA Today, on the other hand, did look at their mosque — the Islamic Society
of Boston — and found "a curriculum that radicalizes people," according to a
local source quoted in the paper's investigation. "Other people have been
radicalized there."
In fact, several ISB members and leaders have been convicted or suspected of
terrorism, including: Abdurahman Alamoudi, Aafia Siddiqui, Ahmad
Abousamra, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, Jamal Badawi, and The Tsarnaev brothers...

Lou Pritchett's open letter to President Obama

Lou Pritchett is a former vice president of Procter & Gamble whose career at that company spanned 36 years before his retirement in 1989, and he is the author of the 1995 business book, Stop Paddling & Start Rocking the Boat. This open letter was sent to the New York Times but was never acknowledged or published. The letter has gone viral via email and blog postings and sums up the thinking of many Americans. Some in the media are beginning to ask real questions of this administration. May more and more do so.
Mr. Pritchett's letter (Hat tip: Jack)-
AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA
By Lou Pritchett
Dear President Obama:
You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.
You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.
You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.
You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.
You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.
You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.
You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad.
You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.
You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.
You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.
You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.
You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.
You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.
You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.
You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.
You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Reillys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.
You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

One Side to Every Story
Obama Attacks Fox News in N.Y. Times Magazine
Newsmax, Wednesday, October 15, 2008 by Jim Meyers - “I am convinced that if there were no Fox News, I might be two or three points higher in the polls,” Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama told New York Times Magazine.
In an interview with Matt Bai that will run this coming weekend, Obama complained about Fox News’ coverage of his campaign. “If I were watching Fox News, I wouldn’t vote for me, right?” he said. “Because the way I’m portrayed 24/7 is as a freak. I am the latte-sipping, New York Times-reading, Volvo-driving, no-gun-owning, effete, politically correct, arrogant liberal. Who wants somebody like that? I guess the point I’m making,” he went on, “is that there is an entire industry now, an entire apparatus, designed to perpetuate this cultural schism, and it’s powerful.”
Obama also said, referring to newsmen at Fox News and MSNBC: “If voters are … polarized and if they’re seeing two different realities, a Sean Hannity reality and a Keith Olbermann reality, then we’re not going to be able to get done the work we need to get done.” Read More......
