Another Obama Comrade

While doing my usual survey of People's World, Communist Party USA's (CPUSA) successor publication to the Daily Worker, a particular headline caught my eye, "Beatrice Lumpkin's extraordinary book about her extraordinary life.

Given my research in this area, "Lumpkin" rang a bell -- for reasons I need not elaborate upon here. Suffice to say, Beatrice Lumpkin is still with us, an old communist (literally) at age 94 -- and today in the tank for Barack Obama. Her life and relationship with our president is illuminating.

Communist Goals (Congressional Record, 1963)

In 1963, a list of 45 Communist Goals was introduced into the Congressional Record. We have posted this list before but thought it a good idea to refer to it again so you can determine if, or how far, these goals have 'progressed' in America. Havana, Oregon

Step into a local city hall meeting in what looks like an ordinary Oregon city, and you might witness anti-America on parade.

Our own Bruce Harmon who works behind the scenes for this magazine, lives in one of the many  Oregon cities prefaced by “The People’s Republic of…,” and in this case, Corvallis, Oregon, a hamlet near Salem.  Like many conservatives, Bruce works for a living.  Which means he just doesn’t have the time to spend observing local government as much as he now might.  Business called him to attend a Corvallis city council meeting recently, which turned out a bit differently than what he expected.

Kincaid: Post Columnist Says King Monument is Stalin-like

By Cliff Kincaid - A Washington Post columnist has criticized the new Martin Luther King, Jr. monument, while his paper is publishing a 24-page special supplement hailing the unveiling of the “Stone of Hope” in the memorial that includes the 30-foot tall statue of the civil rights leader. ✧ Black columnist Courtland Milloy writes, "Let’s face it: There really is something peculiar about having an artist from communist China sculpt the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial statue. And, yes, it would have been fantastic had an African American sculptor been chosen instead." ✧ He adds, "The sculpture is based on a 1966 photograph of King taken in his office in Atlanta, standing at his desk, with a picture of Indian leader Mohandas Gandhi on a wall in the background. In it, King has soft eyes and an open face that conveys the blessed assurance of a man who walks by faith. Lei Yixin has turned those eyes into something of a steely squint. The result is a stern colossus, dressed no less in a style of suit similar to ones found on many statues of Stalin." Read more at Liberty Extra! Read More......

Obama Snubs Dalai Lama in Favor of Communist Chinese

The Indian Express, 10/5/2009 - In an attempt to gain favour with China, for the first time since 1991 the US President will not meet Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama when he visits Washington this week. ∴ President Barack Obama who is scheduled to undertake his first visit to China next month has apparently decided not to meet the Dalai Lama son as not to annoy Beijing. ∴ "The US pressured Tibetan representatives to postpone a meeting between the Dalai Lama and President Obama until after Obama's summit with his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jintao, scheduled for next month," Washington Post reported. ∴ The Dalai Lama has met every sitting US president since George Bush senior in 1991. China accuses the Dalai Lama of being a ‘splittist’ aiming to separate Tibet from it. ∴ The last time Dalai Lama was here, in 2007, however, George W Bush became the first sitting President to meet with him publicly, at a ceremony at the Capitol in which he was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, Congress's highest civilian award.

Gateway Pundit - "Let's see... Iranians, Hondurans, Poles, Czechs, Colombians and now the Tibetans are the latest group to be rejected by President Obama. How's that for hope and change?"

Van Jones resigns

9/5/2009 - REUTERS and BREITBART report that Van Jones, Pres. Obama's 'green jobs' czar, resigned late Saturday evening. But in an Accuracy in Media (AIM) article, Van Jones Scandal Threatens Obama Presidency, published before Jones' resignation, Cliff Kinkaid wrote, "Curiously, it's not Jones' communist background which has proven to be the most controversial. Rather, it's his two apologies in a week for statements calling Republicans 'assholes' and having signed a 9/11 truth statement blaming the terrorist attacks on U.S. officials. ∴ It's the communism, stupid." June 4, 1989: Tiananmen Square

Today is the 20th anniversary of the brutal suppression of protesters and citizens in and around Tiananmen Square. The Chinese government has yet to release the number killed.

TAIWAN NEWS ONLINE: China faces dark memory of Tiananmen
China's Communist leaders have made any discussion of the brutal quelling of the student-led demonstrations -- in which hundreds, maybe thousands, were killed -- taboo, but dissidents say the public could yet hold them accountable.
