On September 24th, John McCain announced that he would suspended his campaign to work on a solution to the proposed bailout and invited Barack Obama to do the same. According to Ace at Exurban League (tongue-in-cheek),
Obama: I Am Such a Leader That I Will Defer to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi As to Whether I Actually Need to Show Up To Do My Job As Senator.UPDATE: Both McCain and Obama will meet with President Bush on Thursday.
If Harry Reid tells him he needs to come into work during the most serious financial crisis since 1929, he'll do so. Otherwise, he's doin' what he does best. Campaignin' for president. Talking about stuff.
